How Does PXT Work?
Before evaluating candidates, our team of experts assists in creating performance models tailored to your job openings. These performance models serve as benchmarks to measure how well individuals fit specific roles. After establishing the performance model, candidates receive an online assessment link from the HR administrator or hiring manager. They can complete the assessment independently from any internet-enabled device, without the need for supervision. The system instantly evaluates the results and forwards the necessary reports to the hiring manager. PXT Select offers the manager access to 13 comprehensive reports that facilitate various processes, including hiring, onboarding, leadership development, coaching, and succession planning.
• The full view of a person. It measures Thinking Style (numerical and verbal reasoning and skill), Behavioral Traits, and Interests
• With the use of our extensive library and the help of a PXT Select expert, the manager completes a performance model
• Candidates receive a request to take the online assessment
• Assessment results are scored and benchmarked against the performance model to evaluate the degree of Job-Person Fit

Assessment Measurements
PXT Select measures the full view of a person, including thinking style, behavioral traits, and interests.
Thinking Style
Cognitive ability is the top predictor of job success and defines how an individual processes information, solves problems, communicates, and learns. Discover how a candidate will utilize and interpret verbal and numerical data to overcome the challenges of the role.

Behavioral Traits

This segment of the assessment evaluates a person’s main tendencies, preferences, and behaviors in the workplace. For instance, it can reveal whether a candidate is more inclined to be cooperative and follow rules or if they prefer to set their own direction and work independently.
Interests
This portion is designed to predict how motivated and satisfied a candidate might be in a particular role. When their interests align closely with the job’s demands, they are likely to find greater enjoyment in their work. This is essential, as people who are happy in their jobs are generally more productive, effective, and engaged.

When you hire a candidate who is the best fit for the job (hire for job fit), you increase their chances of being successful and feeling satisfied in that role. This translates into a sense of engagement and wanting to stay with your organization for a longer time. Our products help you translate the job description into specific behaviors and traits. When you assess a candidate with our tools and compare them to that specific role, you can determine how well they will fit in that role—the better they fit, the less turnover you will have.
The assessments also identify areas where candidates need to be developed and coached and provide insight to help both the manager and the new hire build good, productive relationships.
Our system also offers functions that allow you to track the number of people assessed for a particular job, the number of hires, and the ability to compare that to your KPIs before using the assessment. Our team is ready to help you prove the value!
Although most of our products focus on hiring and selection and are validated for that, they also provide you with versatile information that can be used for coaching and development.
